MIAMI (Sep. 9, 2021) – The FIU women's soccer team fell to the Miami Hurricanes at Cobb Stadium on Thursday night. The score stood at 3-0 in favor of UM.
FIU saw chances to equalize the score after the Hurricanes got on the board halfway through the opening period, but the Panthers were unable to find the back of the net before half. Miami extended its lead after the break with two more goals.
Kédie Johnson led FIU in shot attempts with two attempts as she fought to get the Blue & Gold on the board.
Jessica Magerman,
Noemi Paquin, and
Farah El Tayar all recorded one shot in the match.
FIU defenders
Carmen Marin and
Reagan Bridges both went the distance with a full 90-minutes played in the match.
Ithaisa Vinoly started between the posts for FIU and tallied a season-high eight saves.
