MIAMI (March. 3, 2022) – The 17th-ranked FIU beach volleyball team heads north to open the 2022 campaign at the UNF Invitational from March 4-5.
 
FIU will open the season with duels against Nebraska on Friday, March 4 at 10 a.m. and host UNF at Noon. The Panthers will close out the tournament when the team faces Coastal Carolina at 10 a.m. and Jacksonville at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5.

Preseason All-Conference USA selections Paige Kalkhoff and Roberta Ribeiro lead a Panther squad that went 25-7 in 2021 and finished the year ranked 15th nationally.

FIU returns to Miami on March 15 to host the 2022 FIU Surf N Turf Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament at Lummus Park on South Beach.
 
The 2022 Surf N Turf tourney, which is free and open to the public, will include the 2021 defending national champion Southern California (USC), Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida, Florida Memorial, Palm Beach Atlantic and host FIU.
