MIAMI, Fla. - Following a season that produced the most wins for the FIU women's basketball program since 2011-12, the Panthers have been selected to participate in the 48-team, 2024 Postseason WNIT, it was announced by tournament officials on Sunday night.
 
The official bracket with match ups and round one game times/sites/dates will be released Monday, March 18.

The Panthers (20-11) completed the program's best regular season in over a decade in 2023-24, winning 20 games and earning their highest seed in the CUSA Championship since joining the league in 2013.

The 2024 Postseason WNIT field features 11 automatic qualifiers and 37 teams at-large selections, chosen after consideration of a mix of criteria by WNIT officials. There are 24 teams with 20 or more victories in the bracket.

This will mark the Panthers' eighth time appearance in the Postseason WNIT – and first since 2012-13.
 
FIU faced Florida in the opening round of the 2013 Postseason WNIT, falling 75-68. The farthest an FIU team has ever advanced in the tournament is round two, having won first round contests in 1993, 2006 and 2012.
