ATHENS, Ga. – The FIU swimming & diving program closed out day three of NCAA Championship competition as both swimmer
Christie Chue and
Paige Burrell had strong finishes competing from the Gabrielson Natatorium on Friday.
Chue competed in her third straight 100-breast at the NCAA Championships, posting a time of 59.39, placing her 19
th out of the 49 swimmers in the prelim event.
For a second straight day, Burrell placed top-25 as she scored a 273.10 in the 3-meter prelims, her first time ever competing in the event at the NCAA Championships.
UP NEXT
Chue is set to compete in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday Mar. 23, beginning with prelims at 10 a.m. ET and followed by finals at 6 p.m. The senior will compete in heat seven and lane one of the event.
The four-day event wraps up on Saturday, with awards presentations taking place after the finals session concludes in the evening.
