Riley, a junior, cleared 5.10m on his third attempt to set the record, which currently stands as the second best mark in Conference USA. In the women's pole vault, Nicole Rotger earned a fifth place mark.
"Our pole vault crew is so competitive, and they really push each other every day in practice," said head coach Ryan Heberling. "Ethan and Kayden have both done great this year, and it was great to see Ethan clear the bar on his final attempt at that height."
