MIAMI – FIU softball senior Bailey Grossenbacher has been honored with selection to the 2024 NFCA All-South Regional Teams, which were announced on Thursday afternoon.
 
Grossenbacher, who earned third team all-region status, enjoyed an outstanding 2024 campaign after missing the majority of the 2023 season due to an injury.  She ranked seventh among CUSA leaders with a .385 batting average in conference games.  Her slugging percentage of .597 was the seventh-best total in the conference and her .349 overall batting average was ninth among league leaders.
 
She also provided the power numbers for the Panthers this season as her seven home runs led the squad and was the 12th-highest total in CUSA.  Grossenbacher's 30 RBI paced FIU and sat as the 10th-best total in CUSA.
 
Grossenbacher is the 11th Panther to be honored with All-Region honors and the first since Venessa Gallegos in 2021.
