Cory Hines was named Head Cheerleading Coach in May of 2014. Hines served as the teams Assistant Coach, Consultant and Choreographer prior to his promotion.
In addition to working with the FIU Spirit Program, Hines coaches and works administratively with the world-renowned Top Gun All-Stars where he has earned titles at the state, national and worlds level as both an athlete and coach.
His choreography and consultation business, Cory’Ography, has seen him leading camps and clinics all over the world including Australia, Canada, England, Finland, France, Scotland and Sweden.
As a former FIU Cheerleader himself the program is near and dear to his heart. Under his direction the program has not only grown in strength and numbers but has received national acclaim. In the four years FIU has attended NCA College Nationals they have placed in the top 3 in every division they’ve entered.
Hines also serves as a cheerleading and dance judge for the Varsity Brands and several Independent Event Producers. Hines is certified by The American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators and The United States All Star Federation.
