Allende serves as a maintenance support worker in Athletics Facilities & Operations at FIU.
Allende first joined FIU in October of 2011 as a part-time employee, before being promoted to his current position in May of 2012.Â
Prior to FIU, Allende worked at Plaza 8 & Associates from 2006-10, where he performed maintenance on apartment buildings, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, tile installation and other minor electrical work. Additionally, Allende has over 30 years of experience in the maintenance field.Â
Born in Santiago, Chile and having lived many years in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Allende has resided in the United States since 2003. Allende earned a degree in electrical engineering from ENET No 9 Ing. Luis A Huergo in 1984, before earning an information systems programmer degree from Estudios Superiores de Buenos Aires in 1995.Â
