FIU Women’s Golf Opens Up Spring Schedule at Florida Challenge

MIAMI (Jan. 31, 2016) – The FIU women's golf team will tee off its spring schedule at this year's Florida Challenge at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 1.
 
The 36-hole event will feature teams from around the state Florida, including host institution USF.
 
The Panthers wrapped up the Fall, posting a 298.03 stroke average in four tournaments. FIU's top finish was a third-place result at the 38th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational (Oct. 25-27).
 
Leading FIU this season is senior Meghan MacLaren, who has had two Top 5 finishes with seven rounds of even or under par. Her stroke average of 72.50 is tops on the team followed by junior Coralia Arias (75.33), junior Camila Serrano (75.67), senior Sophie Godley (76.00), senior Carla Jane (76.17) and Sophomore Katerina Krasova (78.08).
