LAKEWOOD RANCH, FLORIDA (October 23, 2016) -- After an even-par 288, the FIU women's golf program is in first place with a four-shot lead over WKU after day one of the 39
th Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club (par-72 and 6,287 yards) on Sunday. The Panthers lead the 14 teams in the field this week, with rounds of 18 holes Monday and Tuesday to finish the 54-hole event.
"I was proud of the effort today," said FIU Head Coach Joe Vogel. "They played as a team. We will need to continue on this pace to finish on top."

Camila Serrano (Bogota, Colombia) is one of nine players to shoot under par for the opening round, putting up a 3-under par 69 to open the event. She posted five birdies along with a pair of bogeys for her 69, tying for her low round of the year.

Katerina Krasova (Ricany, Czech Republic) and freshman
Carolina Rotzinger (Puebla, Mexico) were level through 18 holes Sunday. Krasova had three birdies and bogeys, while Rotzinger had two of each.
"I had a different driver, so I was able to hit it farther and attack the greens today," said Krasova. The wind picked up at the end and made it tougher out there."
The Panthers will play with WKU and Southern Miss Tuesday morning, starting at 9:45 on hole one.
