IRVING, TEXAS (October 26, 2016) -- After leading FIU to its first tournament victory in two seasons, Panther senior Camila Serrano (Bogota, Colombia) was today named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week.
 
Serrano played a bogey-free final round, shooting a season-best 68 to end at 7-under (69-72-68  209) and lead the Panthers to the win at the 39^th Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Serrano finished third as an individual, behind two Top-40-ranked players, with the lowest 54-hole score by a Panther this season.
 
For the season, she leads the Panthers with a 71.58 stroke average. She has finished as winner or runner up in three of the four events in which the Panthers played this semester. Her 2016-17 record is 279-15.
 
This is her second Golfer of the Week, after winning the award on October 5, and the her third for her career, winning first on February 19, 2014.
 
FIU will be back in action on January 30, 2017 at the Florida Challenge in Tampa. Several players will compete in action in their home countries in the coming months.
