Former Panther Golfer MacLaren Earns Global Amateur Honor

WINTER PARK, FLORIDA (November 30, 2016) -- Global Golf Post, the world's leading digital golf news magazine, today announced its men's and women's amateurs of the year for 2016, as well as its fourth annual All-Amateur teams for men and women for its final November edition.
                                                                             
Former FIU start Meghan MacLaren was named to the Honorable Mention Women's All-Amateur Team.
 
MacLaren captured two Conference Player of the Year awards and three medalist honors, and was named All-Conference four times and Player of the Week eight times in her four years at the Miami institution. The Cambridge, England, native was the second player in Conference USA history to take two-straight medalist honors. She owns six of the Top 10 scoring totals in program history.
 
In addition ot the Players of the Year, The Post unveiled its fourth All-Amateur selections for men and women in the amateur, mid-amateur, and senior amateur categories. A total of 201 players from 29 countries were recognized for on-course excellence in 2016.
