MIAMI (March 28, 2016) – The FIU track and field team wrapped up competition at the Hurricane Twilight Invitational on Friday, March 25, at Cobb Stadium.
Freshman
Clarissa Cutliff and
Miriam Pierre had strong showings for the women on Friday. Cutliff placed second in the high jump with a mark 1.78 meters. The result set a personal record for the first-year Panther. Senior
Miriam Pierre took the silver in the discus, scoring a mark of 43.86 meters.
On the men's side, FIU dominated the 100-meter dash, claiming first and third. Junior
Wilkenson Myrtil placed first with a time of 10.60 seconds, while freshman
Samuel Vrinios took third with a time 11.25 seconds.

Brian Oliver recorded a 40.71 in the 4x100-meter relay, placing second. In the 4x400-meter relay, FIU took third as the team of freshman

Christian Williams finished the event with a time of 3:33.29.
In the high jump, Williams finished third with result of 2.00 meters. Senior
Luka Mustafic also claimed the bronze in the shot put with a mark of 16.64 meters.
The Panthers will travel to Gainesville, Fla., to participate in the Pepsi Florida Relays set for Friday, April 1.
