FIU catcher Zack Soria was selected to the All-Conference USA second team on Tuesday as the conference released its award winners in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Soria, a redshirt junior, is tied for the team lead in hits with 62. Soria is second in doubles with 13, total bases with 86 and stolen bases with 11. Soria was the Conference USA Hitter of the Week (Mar. 27-Apr. 3) earlier this season, going 11 for 19 with two home runs and six RBI, including a career-best 5 for 6 game against Bethune-Cookman.

Soria and the Panthers begin defense of their Conference USA championship against Marshall at 8:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the Conference USA tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss.
