MIAMI (Aug. 12, 2016) -- The FIU women's tennis team will hold walk-on tryouts on Friday, Sept. 9, at the FIU Tennis Courts, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

To be eligible for the tryouts, players must meet the following requirements:
You must be enrolled in at least 12 hours at FIU at the time of walk-on tryouts.
You must currently hold and maintain a cumulative 2.4 GPA.
You must fill out the attached Athletic Tryout Release Form and have it approved by the FIU Athletics Training Room and the Tryout Signature Form

Proof of a valid medical insurance policy
Bring ALL of your own equipment (tennis racquet) 
 
Tryout/Walk-On Procedure
Please bring fall 2016 full time schedule and unofficial transcript academic documents to the SAAC building between 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 to Cristina Estevez.

For the medical/compliance paperwork, please bring that to the Training Room FIU Arena 156 on Wednesday, Sept. 7, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. for final sign-off from Gabe Casanova (Athletic Training) and Ernest Washington (Athletic Compliance).

Once signed off, please bring the paperwork to Nika Cleary in FIU Arena 266. She will put you on the cleared list to attend.

No tryout information will be reviewed after Sept. 7 (1 p.m.). If the forms are not submitted by this time, you will not be allowed to try out. This will be the only tryout for the women's tennis team.

If you participate in a team tryout and are added to the official roster, you will be required to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
