Rebecca Quesnel (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) has been named the first Conference USA Diver of the Week of the season, the league announced Wednesday.

This is the 18
th C-USA Diver of the Week award for the FIU All-American, who is the defending C-USA Diver of the Year.

Quesnel won the 1-meter springboard and finished second to freshman teammate
Rachel Foord in the 3-meter program when the Panthers defeated Miami (Florida) in the season-opening dual meet on September 27, by a 164.5-115.5 final score. Her score of 289.57 was an NCAA Zone standard.

In the two-day FIU Fall Classic, Quesnel finished first in both of her heats of the event, scoring another NCAA Zone standard of 289.90 in the 1-meter and producing a score of 264.35 to place first in the 3-meter program. The Panthers finished first, with a score of 521, 41 points ahead of Buffalo in the six-team event.

Quesnel and FIU will next compete at the Dual-A-Palooza in New Orleans, against Rice Tulane and Denver.
