MIAMI (Oct. 26, 2017) – The FIU women's tennis team hosts the FIU Invitational tournament this weekend, Friday and Saturday, October 27 and 28, from the Crandon Tennis Center in Key Biscayne.
This weekend's invite will feature the host Panthers and Florida Atlantic, Texas State, Drake and North Florida.
Singles action will start Friday at 9.30 a.m. with senior
Mina Markovic facing Drake's Kenya Williams.
Panthers
Maryna Veksler,
Ulyana Grib and
Nerma Caluk will face the winners of Drake University and Texas State for singles matches at 1 p.m.
The FIU doubles teams of Grib/Markovic and Caluk/Veksler were advanced to the second round with byes and will play Saturday, October 28. Veksler and Grib Monday won the ITA Regional Doubles Championship in Athens, Georgia.
