The Roselle, Illinois native, recorded four points on the year, including one goal and two assists. The lone goal of the season came during the 5-0 shutout of North Florida (9/26). His first assist on the year came during the 2-1 win at UAB (9/14), when he connected with junior
Santiago Patino (Orlando, Fla./Freedom) to take in the lead in the 14th minute. His second assist came in timely fashion when he set up redshirt-freshman
Alessandro Campoy (Port au Prince, Haiti/Immaculate) with only two seconds left in the 3-1 win over Old Dominion (10/25).
A member of the FIU Honors College, this is his second-consecutive year receiving C-USA All-Academic honors. Giovine has also been named to the Commissioner's Academic honor roll for the last three years, has earned the Commissioner's Medal for the last two years, and has made Dean's List in all seven semesters at FIU.
