Charleston Southern, which was formerly known as Baptist University, is out of the Big South Conference. . .The Buccaneers are receiving votes in both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division I poll, as well as the USA Today poll. . . CSU is 8-2, equaling the start recorded by the 2014 team that set a CSU school record for wins against Division I opponents. . .FIU is coming off a two-game sweep of Miami where the Panthers scored the most runs in the series versus UM in a 12-1 win Tuesday and walked-off the Hurricanes in the bottom of the ninth on Wednesday after Kolby Follis scored on a sacrifice fly from second base. . .Panthers pitchers allowed just six hits in the series against UM -- three hits in each game. . .FIU has won five straight games since losing to Manhattan last Friday.
