Game Notes 
-- FIU won one of three games last weekend at Southern Miss, who sits atop the Conference USA standings. Previously, the Panthers won their last two conference series against UAB and Rice.

-- The Panthers (6-6) are tied for fourth place in C-USA with UTSA, Marshall and Charlotte, four games behind Southern Miss. Old Dominion and Florida Atlantic are second at 9-3.

-- Just past the midway point of the 2017 season, the Panthers have nearly as many home runs (29) and stolen bases (35) as they had in all of 2016 when FIU hit 35 home runs and stole 49 bases.

--UTSA has won its last two conference series. The Roadrunners won two of three games from Louisiana Tech and WKU the last two weekends.

-- The Roadrunners are third in Conference USA with a .299 batting average and 36 home runs.

-- The Panthers took two of three games from the Roadrunners last season in San Antonio. In the brief series history, each team has won a three-game series at the other's ballpark. FIU defeated UTSA 15-5 in 7 innings at the 2015 Conference USA Tournament.
