FIU T&F Closes Out Regular Season Schedule at South Florida Collegiate Invite

MIAMI (April 20, 2017) – The FIU men's and women's track and field teams close out the 2017 regular season schedule this weekend as the Panthers head to Tampa to take part in the South Florida Collegiate Invitational at the University of South Florida, April 21-22, at the USF Track & Field Stadium. Admission is free both days.
 
The two-day meet will begin on Friday with the men's and women's hammer throw at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively, and the women's javelin starting at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the remainder of the throwing events – men's javelin, women's shot put, men's discus, men's shot put and women's discus – will begin at 9:30 a.m. along with a full schedule of jumping events. Saturday's running events will start at 11 a.m.

Following this weekend's trip to Tampa FIU will have two weeks off to prepare for the Conference USA Championships in El Paso, Texas (hosted by UTEP), at Kidd Field, May 11-14.
