IRVING, Texas (April 5, 2017) – FIU junior swimmer
Ally Mayhew has been recognized by Conference USA as one of 14 Spirit of Service Award winners for this past winter the league announced on Wednesday.
Mayhew has volunteered at the annual ING Miami Marathon and Escape to Miami Triathlon for the past three years, while also serving as an active member of the FIU Pre-Veterinary Club. The biological sciences/pre-vet major appeared in 12 meets for the Panthers this season and registered 11 top-five finishes, setting three personal bests along the way. Mayhew maintains a 3.59 GPA and was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll both of the last two years.
