FIU Track & Field Ends Four-Straight Weekend Meets at Hurricane Alumni Invitational

MIAMI (April 6, 2017) – The FIU men's and women's track and field teams will head back to Coral Gables for the third time in the last four weekends to take part in the University of Miami's Hurricane Alumni Invitational, April 7-8, at Cobb Stadium. Admission is free both days.
 
The event will begin on April, 7 with the first half of the men's decathlon, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the first four events of the women's heptathlon at 11 a.m. In addition, the javelin, hammer throw and high jump for both the men and women will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday. The remainder of the meet will begin at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, and run all day. 
 
Following this weekend's meet at Miami, the Panthers will get a well-deserved weekend off before returning to action on April 21-22 at the South Florida Collegiate Invitational, April 21-22, at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
