NORFOLK, Va. -- The series-opening game between FIU and Old Dominion was rained out Friday afternoon at Bud Metheny Complex in Norfolk.

The three-game series will now begin Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. The series concludes Sunday at 12 p.m.

FIU (27-23, 11-13 Conference USA) is currently in ninth place in the conference standings, trailing Marshall and Rice by one game with six games to play. The top eight teams make the Conference USA tournament later this month in Biloxi, Miss. Old Dominion (33-15, 16-8) is in second place.
