FIU’s Quesnel Finishes Seventh in the Platform at the 2017 Summer Senior National Diving Championships

SCARBOROUGH, Ontario (June 3, 2017) – Junior Rebecca Quesnel placed seventh in the platform program on Saturday during the day two of the 2017 Summer Senior National Diving Championships in Scarborough, Ontario.
 
Quesnel posted a score of 255.40 on five dives at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.
 
The native of Burlington, Ontario, had a strong 2016-17 season, becoming FIU's first-ever First-Team All-American with a third-place finish in the platform program at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis A six-time C-USA Diver of the Week honoree this season, Quesnel posted a school-record 325.35 in the platform versus Florida Atlantic back on Feb. 2. She posted 12 first-place results, including a gold-medal performance in the platform program at the C-USA Championship, and had a total of 21 top-three finishes
 
This weekend's competition will conclude on Sunday as Brooke Bouchard will compete in the 3-meter program.
 
This weekend's competition is trials for the FISU (International University Sports Federation) Games and World Championships.
