@FIUWSoccer Heads to New England for Weekend Matches

Panthers set to battle Dartmouth on Friday and Vermont on Sunday

MIAMI (August 24, 2017) – The FIU women's soccer team begins a four-game road stretch this weekend as the Panthers travel to New England for a pair of matches during a three-day stretch. FIU will open the weekend in Hanover, New Hampshire, where it will take the pitch against Ivy League foe, Dartmouth on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m., before closing out the weekend at Vermont, in Burlington, on Sunday, Aug. 27. First touch against the Catamounts is slated for 12 p.m. UVM plays out of the America East Conference.
 
The Panthers kicked off the season at home on Aug. 20 against crosstown rival Miami, dropping the contest to the Hurricanes, 2-0.
 
Friday will mark the season-opener for the Big Green, while Vermont comes into the weekend with a 1-1 record following a 2-1 win against Sacred Heart in its home-opener on Aug. 18. The Catamounts dropped a 4-2 decision at Rhode Island on Aug. 20.
 
Following the match-ups this weekend, FIU returns to the Sunshine State and heads up Interstate 95 to take on North Florida on Sept. 1 and Jacksonville on Sept. 3. FIU returns home on Sept. 7 to face Stetson at 7 p.m.
