The Basics
- The No. 11 FIU beach volleyball team posted two wins on Sunday during the second and final day the Horned Frog Challenge at the TCU Beach Volleyball Complex, to go a perfect 3-0 on the weekend. The Panthers swept Texas A&M-Kingsville, 5-0, in the first match of the day, and closed the event out with a 4-1 win over the host Horned Frogs. It's the first time in the program's short history that FIU has started a season 3-0. Â Â

- In FIU's final match of the Horned Frog Challenge, the Panthers faced the home standing, and No. 13-ranked, TCU. FIU, facing its first nationally ranked foe of the season, had three of its five matches against the Horned Frogs go three games, however only dropped one match to post a 4-1 victory.

- The Panthers won the first four matches before dropping the final match. In addition, in one of the three contests that went three games – the No. 1 spot – FIU had to win back-to-back games after losing the first.
- Sunday's match against TCU is the third played between the two schools, with FIU taking a 2-1 series lead. Â
