FIU women's basketball continues its regular season-ending three-game road swing Thursday night in El Paso, Texas. The Panthers take on the UTEP Miners at 9 p.m.
The Panthers' last outing saw them fall to Florida Atlantic 67-63 in Boca Raton last Sunday.
Kristian Hudson led FIU with 19 points. She also had six rebounds and eight assists. The Panthers split two games with the Owls this season. FIU won 86-65 in Miami on Feb. 17.
FIU is 7-20 on the season, with a 4-10 C-USA record, while UTEP is 14-13 overall and 5-9 in league play.
FIU and UTEP met earlier this season, Jan. 5, in Miami. The Miners defeated the Panthers, 77-76.
Back on Jan. 5, FIU was down one point in the final seconds, but the Panthers' shot at the buzzer rimmed out and FIU lost 77-76 to the Miners to start Conference USA play.
Sophomore
Alexis Gordon led FIU with 18 points.
Kayla Rogers finished with 15 points and Hudson scored 14 and dished out eight assists against the Miners.
On the season Hudson leads FIU averaging 14.3 points per game while
Kiandre'a Pound averages 13 points per game and a team-leading nine rebounds per outing.
FIU's regular season finale is Saturday, March 3 at Southern Miss. The game tips off at 5 p.m.
