MIAMI – Two members of the FIU swimming and diving team will take part in the NCAA Championships Thursday, March 15 - Sunday, March 18, in Columbus, Ohio. Junior
Naomi Ruele is set for her third consecutive NCAA Championships while senior diver
Rebecca Quesnel looks to medal for the second straight year.
Ruele, a 2016 Olympian and the 2018 C-USA Swimmer of the Year, qualified for the 50 Free, 100 Backstroke and 100 Freestyle. Her quest begins Thursday with the 50 Free. She recorded the 25
th fastest time in the nation in the 50 Free. She posted a school-record 22.11 to win her second C-USA championship in three years. Ruele will swim the 100 Backstroke on Friday and the 100 Free on Saturday. Ruele also won her second conference title in the 100 Free. She posted a time of 48.67 – 49
th fastest in the nation).
Quesnel, the 2018 C-USA Diver of the Year as well as a 2017 All-American, also competes in her third consecutive NCAA Championships. She finished third on Platform at the 2017 NCAA Championships. She'll look to medal again on Saturday.
Prelims for all events will be at 10 a.m. (ET) each day with the finals slated to begin each night at 6 p.m. (ET)
