The Basics
The FIU men's and women's track and field teams took part in the prestigious Pepsi Florida Relays, March 29-31, at the James G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track at the University of Florida in Gainesville. The Panthers placed six student-athletes in the top-20, including three in the top-10.

Women's Highlights

Clarissa Cutliff (Orlando, Florida/Edgewater) highlighted the Panthers three days at the Florida Relays with a first place finish in the high jump, posting a height of 1.81m, in the Invitational division. Her mark is tops in Conference USA and tied for third in the nation this season.  Â

- Asha James finished in the top-10 in the javelin with a 45.07m, setting a new personal best.

- In the discus,
Gabrielle Rains (Sherwood Park, Alberta) placed in the top-10 with a throw of 47.66m.

Men's Highlights

Allen Wiggins (Orlando, Florida/The First Academy) posted the men's top finish, placing in the top-20 in the shot put with a throw of 14.72m, just shy of his season-best of 14.79m set at the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational on April 17.Â

The Panthers will get back on the track for competition, on April 6-7, at the University of Miami Alumni Meet in Coral Gables, Florida.
