The Basics
- The No. 10-ranked FIU beach volleyball team had its run to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Tournament championship match come to an end on Sunday morning at the Lakepoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia. The Panthers ran into the two-time defending CCSA champions, Florida State, in the first semifinal match of the day, with the Seminoles handing FIU a 5-0 loss. The Panthers, who are now 23-10 on the season, will wait to see if they receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, May 4-6, in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The NCAA selection show will be on April 29, at 7 p.m. on NCAA.com.
