MIAMI (August 2, 2018) – With a combined 3.66 GPA for the 2017-18 academic year, the FIU women's tennis team earned the highest score of any tennis squad in Conference USA, the league office announced on Thursday.
 
The C-USA Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. The honor for the women's tennis team was their first in program history.

Additionally, Katarina Petrovic's squad also posted the highest GPA of any FIU team for the 2017-18 academic year.
