MIAMI – With its training camp beginning this week, the FIU men's soccer coaching staff had the invaluable opportunity to spend time and play host to one of the world's legendary professional sports franchises, Real Madrid. The Spanish side was in Miami for the International Champions Cup on July 31, where it took to the pitch to face Manchester United at Hard Rock Stadium. They also spent time on FIU's campus training and using its various facilities.

"It was a great honor and pleasure to be able to host Real Madrid at FIU, watch them train daily, and interact with their staff.," said FIU men's soccer Head Coach
Kevin Nylen. "They are the top club in the world, and professional in everything they do. I wish them the best in the season to come and hope to see them back at FIU."

During its time in South Florida, Real Madrid TV spent considerable time on campus documenting the team's training in addition to highlighting FIU's extensive resources and campus to a world-wide audience.
