MIAMI (Dec. 4, 2019) – FIU's Rita Buck-Crockett announced the addition of Steve McFadden to the beach volleyball staff. McFadden joins the Panthers for the 2020 season after serving as the head beach volleyball coach at Laguna Beach High School.

"I am happy to announce the addition of Steve McFadden to the beach program as my assistant coach," Buck-Crockett said. "He brings a lot of fresh ideas and great energy. I am looking forward to seeing his impact on our team. I'm sure it will be a positive and exciting one."

McFadden comes to the Sunshine State after serving as the head beach volleyball coach at Laguna Beach High School in California since 2016. He planned practices and directed the entire Breaker Beach volleyball program during his time at the helm for the Hawks.

During his time there, McFadden trained a wide variety of beach volleyball players, ranging from collegiate athletes to beginners. He focused on improving technical ability, mental toughness, fitness and strategy during his practices.
