FIU Student-Athletes Set New GPA High

FIU posts 3.53 GPA for the spring

MIAMI (May 26, 2020) – FIU athletics continues to raise the bar in the classroom, as student-athletes posted the highest term grade point average in the department's history after earning a 3.53 GPA for the spring. 

The swimming and diving program earned the highest GPA on campus, after posting a 3.90. The men's soccer program earned the highest male GPA on campus, after posting a 3.78. In addition, FIU posted a record-high 66 student-athletes with a 4.0 or higher for the term. 

Earlier this month, FIU student-athletes posted a conference-high 282 members on the C-USA honor roll (3.0 GPA or higher). The achievement marked the second-straight year FIU has led the conference in total honor roll members. The FIU women's track program led the athletic department with 33 members on the honor roll list, with the football program boasting 30 to place second overall at FIU.
