VILNIUS, Lithuania (Sept. 13, 2020) - FIU beach volleyball's Margherita Bianchin won gold at the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Beach Volleyball World Tour on Sunday. The two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American represented her home country of Italy with partner Claudia Scampoli during the international event.

Competing in just their third FIVB event together, the second-seeded Bianchin and Scampoli captured Italy's fourth women's World Tour crown by posting a 2-0 (21-17, 21-11) win in 30 minutes over the ninth-seeded Latvian duo. The victory marked Italy's first women's World Tour gold medal since 2018.
