ATLANTA (April 14, 2021) – FIU's Ali Denney and Lina Bernier were named the CCSA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the duo's first this season. 

Denney and Bernier take home the award following an undefeated weekend at Florida State's Unconquered Invitation. Playing on court three, the pair topped Coastal Carolina 21-12, 21-12 and the third-ranked Seminoles 21-13, 12-21, 15-12. 

The victory over FSU was FIU's first since 2015 and the program's first-ever in Tallahassee. 

For the Panthers' next outing, No. 13 FIU begins the Tri-Match against host No. 17 Stetson at 10 a.m. ET. The team battles No. 14 Florida Atlantic for the third time this season at noon.
