MIAMI (April 26, 2021) - FIU softball and head coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson have announced an exhibition against the Italian Women's National Team on Tuesday, April 27, at 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday's exhibition will be closed to the public, but fans can watch the contest for free on FacebookLIVE (@FIUSoftball).

The matchup will be FIU's second exihibtion against a national team in the past week, as the Panthers hosted Team Canada last Wedensday at Felsberg Field.

Team Italy, currently No. 10 in the world, swept the WBSC Softball Europe/Africa Olympic Qualifier last year to qualify for the Olympics for the third time in the nation's history. Italy will open their Tokyo 2020 Olympics on July 21, 2021, against Team USA. 

UP NEXT
FIU will host WKU this weekend, as the Panthers and Hilltoppers face off for a four-game series at Felsberg Field on April 30-May 2. FIU will recognize its seniors between games of Saturday's doubleheader.
