MIAMI (Feb. 16, 2022) – For the 10th-staight season, the FIU beach volleyball team will enter the season ranked. The Panthers will open the 2022 season with the ranking of 16th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll that was announced on Tuesday.

FIU is slated to face 11 of the preseason top 20 include each of the top six ranked programs. The Panthers will meet top-ranked USC twice on the season this season with the first meeting coming on March 16 at the FIU-hosted Surf & Invitational held on South Beach.
 
FIU opens the season on March 4 against Nebraska in at the North Florida-host UNF Invational. Opening day is slated for 10 am ET.
 
Last season, the Blue & Gold posted a 25-7 record and a 5-5 mark in Coastal Collegiate Sports Association play.
