MIAMI (Feb. 25, 2022) – No. 16 FIU beach volleyball's Paige Kalkhoff and Roberta Ribeiro were named to the Conference USA Preseason All-Conference team, the league office announced on Friday.
 
Kalkoff, who was named to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA)
 All-Freshman Team in 2021, went 25-5 for the Panthers last season that included a perfect 13-0 record on court four with then-partner Abbie Hughes. The sophomore with Hughes earned CCSA Pair of the Week honors for the week of April 21 when the Panther duo went undefeated at the Stetson Tri-Match.
 
Ribeiro, a 2021 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First Team All-American, recorded a 23-7 mark that included a 22-6 record with partner Federica Frasca on court one last year. The duo posted wins over the over then-ranked No. 3 Florida State, No. 9 TCU, No. 11 Stetson and No. 14 Florida Atlantic along to way to be named to the CCSA All-Conference team.
 
The Panthers begin their 2022 campaign with the North Florida Beach Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla., from March 4-5. The team faces Nebraska, UNF, Coastal Carolina and Jacksonville during the two-day tournament.
