MIAMI – FIU Director of Compliance/Eligibility Jimmy Fleming has been named to the NCAA Division I Membership Advisory Group for the 2022-23 cycle. 
 
Fleming will serve a two-year tenure through 2024 and work with continuing members (whose tenure ends in 2023) to provide direction and feedback on NCAA Eligibility Center projects aimed at enhancing the initial-eligibility experience.
 
Comprised of compliance administrators and others involved in the membership space nationally, each NCAA Eligibility Center Membership Advisory Group teleconferences quarterly. Members provide critical insight into the most recent needs, trends and challenges faced by member schools and others who advocate and support prospective student-athletes.
 
Member input helps guide Eligibility Center staff to more effective and efficient ways to support schools and prospective student-athletes across the country and around the world.

In his current role at FIU, Fleming oversees all eligibility operations of the compliance office. He also serves as the compliance office's point of contact for admissions for prospective student-athletes and Name, Image, and Likeness disclosures for current student-athletes.
