Two Panthers Earn Beach Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team Honors

Roberta Ribeiro and Giada Bianchi selected to the Conference USA Preseason Team

MIAMI, Fla. – Graduate student Roberta Ribeiro and junior Giada Bianchi were named to the Conference USA Preseason All- Conference Team on Thursday, Feb. 23 as voted by the league's six head coaches.

Last season, Bianchi earned AVCA Second Team All-American honors and AVCA Flight One honors. Bianchi recorded a 24-8 overall record as No. 1 pairing with Paige Kalkhoff as the 24 victories led the Panthers.

She was victorious in six straight matches including an 8-2 record in the final 10 matches. At the end of the 2022 season, she was named to the C-USA All-Conference First Team. Bianchi and Kalkhoff recorded wins over then-ranked No. 4 Loyola Marymount, No. 5 LSU and two wins over No. 19 Stetson. 

In her second season at FIU, Ribeiro posted a 16-12 overall record while having a 14-9 record paired with Zuzanna Bielak. In flight 2 she was 9-6, 1-1 in flight 3, and 4-2 in flight 4. In her first season with the Panthers, Ribeiro went 23-7 overall and was named to the CCSA All-Conference Team and was an AVCA First Team All-American.
