Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The No. 12 FIU beach volleyball team has finished 2023 season as the No. 1 seed for next week's Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship. The tournament begins with four matches on Thursday, April 27at 9 a.m. ET at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. with six teams squaring off in a double-elimination bracket.
This is the league's second season of beach volleyball with FIU, Florida Atlantic, UAB and first-year members Jacksonville State, Tulane and UTEP. FIU, ranked No. 12 in the latest AVCA Poll, earned the No. 1 seed and first round bye, while No. 15 Florida Atlantic also has a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed. Tulane, ranked No. 17, holds the third seed.
The conference championship match is slated for 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 29.
