FORT LAUDERDALE - The third and final stop of the inaugural Paws Up Tour hit Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park on Wednesday night as FIU alumni and fans joined FIU Athletic Director Scott Carr and a group of FIU head coaches to socialize and celebrate the bright future of FIU Athletics.

Panther head coaches on hand for the evening's festivities included Mike MacIntyre (football), Jeremy Ballard (men's basketball), Rita Buck-Crockett (beach volleyball), Kyle Russell (men's soccer), Randy Horner (swimming & diving) and Ryan Heberling (track & field/cross country).

The evening included a Q&A with Carr and the Panther head coaches as well as a social hour, all while enjoying time with fellow FIU alumni and fans.

More FIU fan events will continue in the summer when the FIU Alumni Panther Block Party helps kick off the 2023 football season, Saturday, Aug. 12 at Monty's in Coconut Grove.

WHAT IS THE "PAWS UP TOUR"?
The chance to interact with FIU Athletics Director Scott Carr and FIU head coaches, while enjoying food and drink with FIU faithful is here with the Paws Up Tour, a collaboration between FIU Athletics and the FIU Alumni Association.

The Paws Up Tour features a social hour, autograph opportunities, complimentary food and drink, a DJ, and remarks from Chief Alumni Officer Sara DuCuennois, Carr and FIU coaches on all the excitement going on for FIU Athletics.

Each Paws Up Tour stop is open to Panthers of all ages and is free for all to attend.
