Miami, Fla. – FIU's Lucie Pokorna and Milica Vukobrat were named AVCA All-American Second Team. This year, the first and second teams include 16 members each, and the 32 players honored represent 15 schools.

Both players were in their first season with FIU Beach and Vukobrat posted a team best 23-13 overall record playing in every single match and played the most matches in court one (29). Pokorna played the second most matches in court one and finished with a 15-14 overall record, 14-11 in court one and a 1-3 record in court two.
 
The pair went 2-2 in C-USA Championships in court one with wins over Jacksonville State and UAB and were named Conference USA Pair of the Week on April 19 after having a 3-0 week in court one including wins over then ranked No. 18 Stetson on April14 and No.15 FAU on April 15.
 
Their biggest wins of the season in court one were against then ranked No.10 Stanford and No.12 Long Beach State on March 30 at the Long Beach Tri-Dual. For their efforts playing together, Pokorna and Vukobrat were named Conference USA All-Conference First Team Pair.
