MIAMI — FIU's golf program is set to tee up its spring season with four regular season events, beginning Feb. 5-6.
The Panthers will have two events in the Sunshine State and two events outside of Florida during the Spring regular season campaign, traveling to Boulder Creek, Nev. and Denton, Texas.
FIU will also take part in the Conference USA (CUSA) Championships April 15-17 in Magnolia, Texas, CUSA's postseason tournament of which the winning team will qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
The Panthers begin their regular season in Boca Raton, Fla., participating in FAU's Paradise Invitational Feb. 5-6. Less than a month later, FIU takes on the University of Florida's Gator Invitational in Gainesville, March 2-3.
A trip to the desert follows that as FIU will play in the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State, in Boulder Creek, March 11-12. The Panthers' final regular season event will serve as prep for the CUSA Championships in Texas as they take on the Bruzzy Invitational in Denton, hosted by North Texas.
The CUSA Championships will be held for the first time at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia. If the Panthers qualify, NCAA Regionals will occur at several host sites May 6-8 followed by the national NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. May 17-22.
