MIAMI (March 15, 2024) - The FIU Panthers are set to begin the 2024 outdoor campaign, starting Friday and Saturday in Coral Gables at the Miami Hurricane Invitational.
Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with the men's and women's hammer throw on Friday, and javelin Saturday.

Admission to the public is free for both days of the Hurricane Invitational. FIU will look to compete against athletes spanning ten track and field programs from across the country. Teams slated to compete this weekend include Boston University, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi State, St. Thomas University, and University of Arkansas (Little Rock).
"We're ready to start another season," said head coach
Ryan Heberling. "We saw a lot of good things throughout indoor, and now its time to translate that to outdoor and start the journey towards earning national qualifiers."
Last year, the Panthers advanced three athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
