GAINESVILLE, Fla. — FIU's women's golf program wrapped up its weekend at the Gators Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida, on Saturday.
Karissa Kilby secured a top-25 finish with a three-round score of 214 (+4) to lead the Panthers. Kilby's final round of 69 (-1) moved her seven spots up the leader board and was her second of the weekend at par or better.
As a team, FIU finished in 13th, but posted a solid third round of 296 to close out the tournament on a high note. All five Panthers recorded rounds in the 70s or better over the final 18 holes.
Arlynn Spence was the Panthers' second-best finisher after bouncing back from a first round 82 to shoot 73-75 over the final 36 holes. Gabriella Gomez and Riley Hamilton both carded scores of 237. Anika Veintemilla, in her first appearance of the Spring, finished with a 245.
