As a Sophomroe (2013-14): Owned the No. 3 time for FIU in the 200 butterfly (2:07.05) and two top five times in the 200 IM (2:08.98) and 400 IM (4:31.15)…200 butterfly time was achieved at the C-USA Championships in the preliminary round…Opened the season with a top five finish in the 100 butterfly versus FAU (10/5).

As a Freshman (2012-13): Represented FIU in the 200 butterfly, 200 IM and 400 IM at the Sun Belt Conference Championships during her rookie campaign...Earned 14th and 15th place finishes respectively on the 400 and 200 IM while swimming in the preliminaries for the 200 butterfly at the Championships.

Prior to FIU: Comes to FIU from Rockford High School in Rockford, Mich…. At Rockford, she lettered in swimming all four years and water polo for two… She was a two-time team MVP and a two-time, all-state and a three-time, all-conference selection, while being selected all-area during her final two years of high school… During her freshman and senior campaigns, the Rockford Rams were crowned conference champions.  

Personal: Born February 25, 1994 in Sturgeon Bay, Wi…. Daughter of Jennifer and Doug Smith… Has three siblings, Alaina, Evan and Emily… Her twin sister Alaina is also a member of the FIU swimming and diving team… Majoring in health services administration… Enjoys watching her brother and sister play baseball and softball… Her father Doug played baseball at Liberty University and for the Minnesota Twins.
