Biography

Before FIU: Rapp commits to FIU as a specialist in the backstroke and butterfly. She’s posted best times of 56.93 in the 100 Back, 2.03.69 in the 200 Back, 57.21 in the 100 Fly and 2.08.71 in the 200 Fly. She was the team MVP for three years at Mount Notre Dame High School and has been a USA Sectionals qualifier since the Spring of 2009. She plans on majoring in psychology at FIU and chose to be a Panther over UNC Asheville, UNC Wilmington, Cincinnati, Miami and Oxford.

Why Rapp chose FIU: “The first time I walked on campus I just felt connected to the people and the school. Also seeing my opportunities and the swim teams commitment and sense of team was the most refreshing thing about FIU. I knew this was my school.”

Horner on Rapp:  “Maddie’s enthusiasm for swimming is infectious.  She is still developing and has achieved many best times recently at YMCA Nationals.”
